About The Position

Provides mental health services to children, adolescents, and families with serious developmental, emotional, and behavioral problems in a manner which results in improvements in the child and family's functioning in multiple life domains and is cost effective. Provide leadership, training, and consultation to mental health therapists with a focus implementation of the highest quality services and culturally appropriate care. Develop and implement a within agency training protocol that includes 40 hours of Didactic Training, direct observation and clinical supervision of two completed cases and ongoing weekly supervision and consultation to ensure highest quality service delivery and adherence to evidence based care treatment. Participate in ongoing trainings to ensure continuous and quality improvement of the program that the lead supports. Maintain up to date knowledge of revisions and adaptations of the model for clinical sub-groups.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
  • Minimum two years experience in providing direct treatment services to children and families.
  • Licensed as a Mental Health Professional in Washington State in appropriate field according to degree (e.g., LICSW, LMFT).
  • Required to complete Safety Care Certification and Crisis Prevention Institute Verbal Intervention Training within the first 90 days of employment and maintain certifications annually thereafter.

Nice To Haves

  • Minority Mental Health Specialist designation.
  • Experience with multi-system involved children with severe behavioral problems and/or developmental disabilities.
  • Experience providing comprehensive intake evaluations with multi-axial diagnoses.
  • Experience with evidence-based practice.
