About The Position

As a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, you will play a crucial role in our primary care setting by performing laboratory tests, ensuring accurate results, and contributing to patient care. You will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to support diagnosis, treatment, and overall patient health.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Current NYS license and registration

Responsibilities

  • Conduct a variety of laboratory tests, including hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, and immunology, in accordance with established protocols.
  • Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  • Collect, prepare, and process biological samples, maintaining proper documentation and chain of custody.
  • Interpret and analyze test results, flagging any abnormalities for further review by physicians or medical staff.
  • Adhere to all safety, quality assurance, and regulatory standards, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to communicate test results and provide insights into patient care.
  • Provide training and guidance to laboratory staff and interns, promoting best practices and continuous learning.
  • Maintain accurate records of laboratory activities, test results, and equipment maintenance logs.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with laboratory technologies and methodologies.
