Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Microbiology - Days NewYork-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital is the singular source of care and caring for the 750,000 New Yorkers who live and work south of 14th Street. Join a close-knit team of Technologists in our Microbiology laboratory, which includes molecular, serological, bacteriology testing. Responsibilities also include maintaining inventory and quality control compliance. This role will assist with processing send-outs associated with the laboratory operations. This role may be cross-trained in other clinical areas of the laboratory to provide generalist coverage as needed. This is a full-time position, working Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm, with rotating weekend and holiday coverage.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or equivalent
- New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Education department
- If pending a clinical laboratory technologist license - must obtain license within 6 months of hire
