Labcorp is seeking a Technologist Trainee to join their Extractions team in Westborough, MA! They will be responsible for extracting DNA from a myriad of sample types for molecular genetics testing. The Integrated Genetics – Westborough site processes extracted DNA from peripheral blood and prenatal samples (amniotic fluid and chorionic villi) for genetic testing. A variety of molecular genetics techniques are used to include Next Generation Sequencing, real time PCR, Sanger Sequencing and Southern Blot analysis to test for specific genetic diseases such as cystic fibrosis, spinal muscular atrophy and Fragile X syndrome. This is a great entry level opportunity to join an innovative laboratory and receive targeted one-on-one training that will help the individual grow in a career in the clinical diagnostics field.
