About The Position

Perform specimen receiving for laboratory specimens using LIS and HIS for order accessioning, labeling, delivery, and report preparation; assist with problem resolution and follow-up with other UH departments and referring physicians. Will also greet and assist visitors to Pathology, answer phone calls, and deliver samples to labs for testing. Will assist with processing as needed.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Science or related field (Biology/Chemistry) or equivalent combination of education and experience required

Nice To Haves

• Excellent computer skills
• Prior clinical laboratory experience
• NYS license/registration or limited permit to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technician preferred
