Responsibilities

  • Perform and interpret a wide range of tests in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and transfusion medicine with strict adherence to SOPs and quality control standards.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot instrumentation, ensuring instrument performance meets established specifications and corrective actions are documented.
  • Validate results, review quality metrics, run parallel testing when required, and ensure accurate data entry and reporting through the LIS and associated systems.
  • Collaborate with technologists, pathologists, and clinicians to resolve discrepancies, optimize workflows, and implement process improvements.
  • Participate in continuous education, competency assessments, and in-lab training to stay current with evolving testing methodologies.
  • Maintain rigorous safety, biohazard, and specimen-handling protocols, contributing to a culture of compliance and patient safety.
