About The Position

This position is for a Security Guard within the Federal service, specifically in various locations including Inscription House, AZ, Kayenta, AZ, Red Mesa, AZ, Bloomfield, NM, Crownpoint, NM, Gallup, NM, Shiprock, NM, and Tohatchi, NM. The role requires candidates to have sufficient experience and/or education to perform the duties associated with the position. Experience can include both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer work through National Service programs. Candidates must clearly identify their duties and responsibilities in their resume, including the total number of hours worked per week. The competition for this position is restricted by law to individuals entitled to veterans' preference, provided they are available for appointment.

Requirements

• Six (6) months of general experience.
• Six (6) months of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service.
• Experience in administrative, technical, clerical, military, or other work involving following written procedures.
• Knowledge of protective systems and techniques.
• Completion of study at an accredited college or university in any subject or training in an accredited technical school covering physical security procedures.

Responsibilities

• Enforce security rules and regulations.
• Follow facility restraint policy.
• Escort patients as needed.
• Direct visitors to the appropriate department.
