About The Position

This position is for a Security Guard within the Federal service, specifically in various locations including Inscription House, AZ, Kayenta, AZ, Red Mesa, AZ, Bloomfield, NM, Crownpoint, NM, Gallup, NM, Shiprock, NM, and Tohatchi, NM. The role requires candidates to demonstrate sufficient experience and/or education to perform the duties associated with the position. Experience can include both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer service through National Service programs. Candidates must clearly identify their duties and responsibilities in their resume, including the total number of hours worked per week. The position is open from March 21, 2025, to January 31, 2026.

Requirements

• Six (6) months of general experience.
• Six (6) months of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service.
• Experience in administrative, technical, clerical, military, or other work involving following written procedures.
• Knowledge of protective systems and techniques.
• Completion of study at an accredited college or university in any subject is qualifying.
• Successful completion of training in an accredited technical school covering physical security procedures or local laws.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a hospital setting as a psychiatric nursing assistant or similar position safeguarding patients.
• Service in the Armed Services or Coast Guard performing guard duties.

Responsibilities

• Enforce security rules and regulations.
• Follow facility restraint policy.
• Escort patients as needed.
• Direct visitors to the appropriate department.
