About The Position

This position is for a Social Worker within the Federal service, specifically in locations such as Inscription House, AZ; Kayenta, AZ; Pinon, AZ; Red Mesa, AZ; Crownpoint, NM; Gallup, NM; and Shiprock, NM. Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
• Current, unrestricted U.S. license as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Certified Independent Social Worker (CISW).
• At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service.
• Experience in a hospital or clinic setting providing counseling and assistance to clients and families.

Nice To Haves

• 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
• Experience in program implementation with alertness and resourcefulness.

Responsibilities

• Perform individual, family, and group evidenced-based psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults.
• Provide services to patients with a variety of acute and chronic mental health conditions.
• Assist clients and families in understanding and modifying patterns of behavior.
• Make independent and professional decisions regarding patient care.
• Plan and implement programs to help patients find resolutions to their issues.
