Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in biology or related science.
• Licensed Clinical Lab Scientist (CLSL).
• 2 years of recent relevant laboratory experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge and technical competence in routine specimen collection and laboratory operations.

• Experience in one or more clinical specialty areas such as Chemistry, Hematology, or Transfusion Service.
• Ability to interact compassionately with patients of diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Execute procedures in assigned areas of the Laboratory to deliver accurate results in a timely manner.
• Perform a variety of basic and complex laboratory procedures, including phlebotomy, specimen processing, quality control, and testing.
• If assigned to the Transfusion Service, perform moderate or high complexity testing and manage blood inventory.
• Adhere to local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety.
• Maintain competence in performing pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic procedures.
