Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with 15 years of clinical lab experience, or an Associate's Degree with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a clinical lab setting, or a Bachelor's Degree with clinical lab experience preferred.
• Certification as MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), MT(AMT), MT(AAB), CLS(NCA), MT(HEW), CLT(NCA), MLT(ASCP), or MLT(AMT) is required, or certification is waived for those with 5 years of lab experience.
• Strong background in blood banking.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex medical laboratory tests for diagnosis and treatment of disease.
• Analyze test results and ensure accountability for accuracy.
• Maintain complicated instruments and monitor quality control and quality assurance programs.
• Communicate relevant quality control information to Supervisor or Manager.
• Manage assigned projects, including developing plans and coordinating resources.
• Assure compliance with regulations and standards of regulatory agencies.
• Act as a resource to customers both within and outside the department.
