About The Position

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for Clinical Laboratory Scientists I and II who perform a wide variety of analytic laboratory procedures and apply laboratory policies and processes in the areas of Chemistry, Serology, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Blood Bank and Microbiology. Clinical Laboratory Scientists I are considered Trainees and are eligible for promotion to Clinical Laboratory Scientist II upon receipt of a satisfactory work performance evaluation. Incumbents must promote within twelve (12) months or be terminated. Clinical Laboratory Scientists II are considered the Journey-level classification to the CLS series and require the ability to recognize a range of reactions including deviation from the norm.

Requirements

• Must possess and maintain a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license issued by the State of California, Department of Public Health.
• Graduation from a CDPH approved CLS training program AND eligibility to sit for the CDPH approved certification examination for California CLS licensure.
• One (1) year of full-time experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist for Clinical Laboratory Scientist II.

• Training from a National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) approved institution.

Responsibilities
