About The Position
The Idaho Bureau of Laboratories (IBL) is recruiting for a full-time permanent Clinical Laboratory Inspector position. This position will complete a team of two surveyors. The major function of this position will involve inspecting clinical laboratories to ensure compliance with federal regulations under the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) and State regulations. The position will also involve monitoring quality assurance (QA) compliance and implementing the quality management (QM) plan for the state public health laboratory. We are seeking candidates who have in-depth knowledge of clinical laboratory science and current standards of practice. Applicants who have experience ensuring compliance in clinical laboratories are encouraged to apply. This position will not involve shift work and will be scheduled to work during regular business hours. This position requires intermittent statewide travel between twenty and forty percent of work time, including overnight stays. Travel is scheduled ahead of time to accommodate the surveyor.
