About The Position

Processes requests and receives clinical laboratory/clinical research/research specimens within the laboratory sections within department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine; accessions, processes, and routes laboratory testing material to the appropriate testing area; transcribes, prints, sorts, mails, and faxes laboratory reports; handles requests for laboratory reports, specimen tracking, and laboratory requests via phone, email, mail, and other correspondence methods; assists with the performance of laboratory quality control, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance activities; maintains laboratory supply inventories and processes requests for supply orders. The starting hourly for this part-time position is $20.44 and this can include a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program; or
  • High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and enrolled in an Associate’s degree program; or
  • High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience in a clinical or research setting requiring the use of medical/laboratory terminology.
  • Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
