Proficiently prepares samples for analytical testing and/or distribution of specimens to the proper analytical area. Accurately registers, receives, processes, and stores biological specimens, such as blood, body fluid and tissue, and accessions them into the Laboratory Information System (LIS). Maximum proficiency is expected in following a set of prescribed instructions, strategies and criteria. Recognizes sample stability and integrity problems/errors before patient testing and notifies appropriate personnel for corrections or resubmissions. Accountable for own work as assigned by supervisor.
