About The Position

This position is only open to Texas tech students that have rotated through Moltech. The role involves performing analyses to aid health care providers in the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of patients. It also includes participating in operational support activities necessary to maintain and optimize testing capabilities. Testing is conducted in specialized laboratories and may involve highly skilled manual techniques or automated testing using sophisticated instrumentation. Individuals hired into this position are required to complete 2 years in this role before becoming eligible to transfer to other positions within Mayo Clinic. This position is not eligible for sponsorship, and Mayo Clinic will not sponsor or transfer visas for this role. Additionally, Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.

Responsibilities

Performs analyses to aid health care providers in the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of patients
Participates in the operational support activities necessary to maintain and optimize testing capabilities
Instrument operation and maintenance
Troubleshooting assays
Evaluating tests for accuracy
Assisting with interpreting results
Operational support activities to optimize testing
Works with multiple computer systems to retrieve information and report results
May assist with specimen collection
Strictly adhere to safety protocols to work with infectious specimens, chemicals and other hazards
