About The Position

Position Summary Perform duties as assigned working at the clinical bench in the laboratory including receiving, aliquot, handling and storage of biological specimens, performing and resulting waived testing, performing add on testing, maintaining workflow for technologist and stocking supplies as needed. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. MLA (Medical Laboratory Assistant) (ASCP) required, or must be obtained with 18 months of hire date. Experience A minimum of 2-3 years in related laboratory environment. Customer service experience preferred. Skills Individual is organized, priorities work accordingly, able to multi-task, be detailed oriented, effective communication, computer friendly, provide detailed information, able to learn laboratory requirement and utilizes resources available to answer questions, mentor, consistent competent work performance following procedure and or protocols as required by regulatory agency such as CAP, Joint Commission, NJDOH.
