About The Position

The Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) is responsible for specimen processing, test performance, result review, and reporting of results under general supervision. This per diem position requires the CLS to perform only those tests for which they are authorized and have demonstrated the necessary skills. The role emphasizes the importance of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a complex medical laboratory environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in life sciences or equivalent field required.
• California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license required.
• Two years of experience as a clinical laboratory scientist preferred.
• Knowledge of medical lab standard operating procedures and equipment.
• Ability to perform complex clinical lab tests and interpret data.

Nice To Haves

• American Medical Technologist (AMT) Certification preferred.
• American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification preferred.
