About The Position
The Clinical Lab Scientist position at UCSF Health involves performing a variety of test procedures across multiple laboratory disciplines, including chemistry, blood gas analysis, routine and special hematology, routine and special coagulation, bone marrow/special stain sections, and urinalysis. The role requires the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, automated laboratory environment, ensuring that all test results are accurately transcribed and reported. The successful candidate will operate laboratory equipment as necessary and adhere to established quality control procedures, participating in all associated tasks within the section. The specific test menu may vary depending on the assigned shift, which includes day, evening, and night shifts, as well as rotating weekends. In addition to technical skills, the position emphasizes the importance of teamwork and collaboration, as the candidate will be working alongside a diverse group of staff members.
