Clinical Lab Scientist - WCMC Microbiology - Per Diem - 8 Hour - Variable Shift

About the position

The position involves performing and demonstrating competency, proficiency, and understanding of test procedures in the Clinical Laboratory, including high complexity testing. The role requires adherence to specific educational and certification standards to ensure quality and compliance in laboratory operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science, or Microbiology is required.
• If no B.S. Degree in the specified areas, must have a Bachelor's Degree with specific completed course requirements: 16 semester or equivalent quarter units of chemistry (including clinical chemistry or analytical and biochemistry), 18 semester or equivalent quarter units of biology (including hematology, immunology, and medical microbiology), and 3 semester or equivalent quarter units of physics (light and electricity).
• CLS Clinical Lab Scientist (MTA) certification from California Department of Public Health - Laboratory Field Service is required.
• Clinical Microbiologist Scientist certification from California Department of Public Health - Laboratory Field Service is required.
