About The Position

Position Summary: Performs non-repetitive, technically complex procedures or tests in a specialized area of the lab in order to provide data for use in the detection, diagnosis and treatment of disease. Takes a leading role in development, quality control, and quality assurance and performance improvement activities. Participates in teaching and serves as a technical resource for the division.

Requirements

Two or more years applicable experience
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Must be willing to work variable shifts and overtime as required
Must be willing to testify in court regarding testing activities if subpoenaed
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Current CA CLS License
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
