Requirements

• A valid CLS certification from the State of California required.
• Follows the State of California, DHS, Laboratory Field Services requirements of education for licensure of a Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) required.
• Two years as a clinical laboratory scientist (CLS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately read, interpret, record, and maintain records of patient testing.
• Learn new procedures/assignments in a timely manner.
• Maintain an up to date working knowledge of all technical procedures in the department and operation of all instrumentation.
• Review pending reports and investigate and manage all outstanding specimen/test issues and delays.
• Consult with or apprise CLS, Manager, or Medical Director regarding matters beyond own scope of responsibility or knowledge.
