About The Position

The Clinical Lab Manager oversees the daily operations of the clinical laboratory, ensuring quality service delivery, compliance with regulatory standards, and effective personnel management. This role requires extensive knowledge in various laboratory disciplines and involves administrative, fiscal, and technical responsibilities to enhance laboratory operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field; Master's degree preferred.
• 6 years of managerial experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Certification as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist under CLIA.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Knowledge of laboratory operations and quality control procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with molecular diagnostics, chemistry, toxicology, microbiology, hematology, and other laboratory disciplines.
• Innovative and creative thinking skills to enhance client experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the clinical laboratory.
• Manage personnel development and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Prepare and monitor department budgets and financial management.
• Implement quality assurance metrics and performance improvement plans.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Conduct staff meetings and maintain communication with laboratory personnel.
• Evaluate and implement new instrumentation and methodologies.
• Coordinate laboratory computer reports and maintain documentation.
• Conduct employee training and performance evaluations.
• Interact with regulatory agencies and ensure compliance with safety standards.
