Organization: Dermatology Job Summary: JOB SUMMARY Filling a high volume of clinical slides per day, and working to support the operations of a busy dermatopathology clinical lab. . JOB RESPONSIBILITIES File high volume of clinical dermatopathology glass slides for two separate work flows Direct line of contact; preferably direct text/phone access during office hours Handle slide requests, pull and track slides in both systems and send via ABC or Fed Ex Handle slide returns/tracking from outside sources in two work flows Request slides for consultation for physicians Track CTCL slide requests and when received, fill out requisition and send to VML for accessioning Package and send older slides to Iron Mountain as new slides come in to be filed Handle logistics for Iron Mountain ie; logging boxes on transmittal sheets and ensuring invoices are sent to appropriate personnel Problem solving- lost specimens, billing questions, patient calls, physician calls and questions, etc for two work flows Support physicians with system access and procedure in two work flows Track reports- delinquent cases, assist dermpath physicians in completing delinquent cases (pull gross reports, slides etc.) for two workflows. Ensure incomplete case reports are pulled routinely and cases are completed in a timely manner Able to work physically demanding position, managing small glass slides, with repetitive motions while seated for 5+ hours per day.
