About The Position
Sentara Albemarle Medical Center in Elizabeth City, NC is hiring a clinical lab assistant-Phlebotomist to work part time days. The job responsibility is to perform patient phlebotomy while maintaining the highest level of customer service. The role involves collecting, labeling, and processing patient specimens for testing, as well as being responsible for registration and test data entry. The clinical lab assistant will monitor supply levels, operate and maintain laboratory equipment, and handle both internal and external customer inquiries and problem resolution. Frequent interaction with hospital and physician office staff is expected, and the assistant may also perform EKGs and operate glucometers.
