About The Position

Wayside is one of Massachusetts' most respected youth and family-serving agencies, supporting more than 6,000 youth and families annually across Central, Eastern, and Northeastern regions. Wayside offers a learning environment – free trainings, CEUs, and individual/group supervision. We provide a teamwork atmosphere and career development support – a great place to grow your career!!! Final year grad students are eligible for a stipend! The Waltham Community Based Services Site is accepting Graduate Level interns. We provide a range of in-home, community-based services designed to protect, preserve, and reunify families within a wide geographical area. Community-based clinicians provide individual, couples and family therapy. Treatment is generally intensive in nature and delivered using a strengths-based, resiliency-focused philosophy. Clinicians work with clients referred from the Department of Children and Families, the Department of Mental Health and a variety of insurance companies to address such issues as mental health symptom management, family systems dynamics, behavior management, substance abuse, budgeting, household management, parent education and more. Interns are fully integrated into the team and will participate in agency-wide initiatives such as Motivational Interviewing, ARC, and Courageous Conversations. This is an excellent internship for confident self-starters who will receive ample support from a strong clinical team and will also function autonomously in the community.
