Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited Nuclear Medicine program with an anticipated completion date as outlined in the Nuclear Medicine program.
  • Must be currently enrolled and in good academic standing in Amarillo College Nuclear Medicine Program
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing functions under the direct supervision of a registered and licensed Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Positioning patients for nuclear medicine exams, the aide is also responsible for preparing exam rooms, equipment, supplies, and radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Must possess outstanding customer service skills and be flexible to accommodate volumes.
