Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled and in good academic standing in Amarillo College Radiography Program.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing functions under the direct supervision of a registered and licensed Radiologic Technologist.
- In addition, to positioning patients' radiographic exams, the aide is also responsible for preparing exam rooms, equipment, supplies and contrast medications.
- Must possess outstanding customer service skills.
- Must flex to accommodate volumes.
- When Radiology student clinical intern is on site and working as an employee of the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
- The Radiology clinical intern must not make any radiation exposures in accordance with the Texas Board of Medical Radiologic Technology.
