Job Summary and Qualifications Under the general direction of the Program Director and Clinical Coordinator for the Radiography Program, is responsible for the implementation of the student clinical education plan. Responsibilities include student instruction, supervision, evaluation, scheduling and counseling. The Clinical Instructor will serve as the liaison between the radiology department and the School for Radiography. What you will do in this role: * Performs clinical procedures and patient care in diagnostic radiology. * Maintains standards for accreditation by the Joint Review Committee on Educational Programs in Radiography (JRCERT). * Recommends and assists Clinical Coordinator and/or Program Director with personnel issues, such as disciplinary processes, counseling, hiring, and terminations * Assists with new employee orientation and training to the service area(s), department, and facility. * Assists with development, implementation, revisions and review of policies and procedures for the School of Radiography. * Assists with implementation of HCA policies and procedures and/or facility policies and procedures to meet various accrediting agencies' regulations and laws. * Responsible for interfacing with other facility departments, physicians, patients, visitors and Radiology employees, as needed. * Participates in performance improvement activities. * May assist other areas of the Radiology Department and perform other duties as assigned. · Ensures that the department is kept neat and tidy at all times. * Responsible to ensure that all ACR, Missouri State, JCAHO, HIPAA and FDA standards are met. * Maintains all relevant equipment and procedure rooms. * Helps to maintain QA records, tests and audits. What Qualifications You Will Need: * Graduate of an accredited program by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), American Medical Association (AMA) or other Accrediting agencies for Radiography. Bachelor's Degree, Preferred. * Current registry in good standing with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) * Must be currently certified in BCLS. * Minimum of two (2) years of work-related experience in all aspects of Diagnostic Radiography, preferred Overland Park Regional Medical Center is a 340+ bed facility offering acute medical services to our patients. We are Johnson County's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center. We have an Accredited Stroke and Chest Pain Center. Our hospital is a premier area destination for Womens & Children's healthcare services. We offer the region's only Maternal Fetal Health Center to care for critically ill mothers and their babies. Our hospital has an antepartum unit, a labor and delivery unit, and a Level III NICU. We have four emergency rooms, including a dedicated Pediatric emergency room and two freestanding ERs located in Olathe and Shawnee. Each year our colleagues treat over 45,000 patients.
