As Clinical Instructor at the Sovah School of Health Professionals, you’ll support those that are in our facilities who are interfacing and providing care to our patients and community members to positively impact our mission of making communities healthier ®. The Sovah School of Health Professionals is situated on the campus of Sovah Health – Danville. It provides full-time, two-year programs that prepare students for careers in healthcare through hands-on training and education. Our radiologic technology program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee (JRCERT).

Requirements

  • Graduates of a program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Hold an Associates’ degree in Radiologic Technology.
  • Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
  • Licensure by the Commonwealth of Virginia Dept of Health Professionals is required.
  • At least 2 years of practical experience as a Radiology Technologist is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Membership in the Virginia and American Societies of Radiologic Technologists is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, evaluate, and grade students in clinical environments.
  • Serve as a consultant for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development.
  • Design, implement, and assess learning activities and curriculums related to clinical competencies, departmental/organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and the use of clinical information technologies.
  • Serve as a member of the Advisory Committee and hold equal responsibility in the programs’ accreditation process.
