About The Position

The University of Virginia School of Nursing seeks applications to fill non-tenure-track, Clinical Instructor faculty wage positions. We seek RN’s with clinical experience in the specialty areas of (but not limited to) pediatrics, obstetrics, psychiatric-mental health, community/public health, general medical or surgical specialty. Responsibilities will require the direct supervision of students in the clinical practice setting and possibly the Clinical Simulation Learning Center (CSLC), along with evaluation of required written work.

Requirements

• Degree at the Bachelor's, Master’s or Doctoral level in nursing or related field
• Strong commitment to teaching and mentorship
• Eligibility for RN licensure in Virginia
• Eligibility for Virginia nurse practitioner licensure and prescriptive authority for APRN program
• National certification for APRN program
• Two years of clinical nursing experience
