This is a non-tenure clinical position available in the AAS nursing program. The role involves collaboration with other faculty members to implement and evaluate clinical objectives, as well as direct and indirect supervision of students in diverse clinical settings. The position requires providing clinical experiences for students in accordance with clinical objectives and evaluating students in clinical and lab settings. Adherence to university policies and procedures is essential, along with maintaining clinical expertise in the field of study and teaching pedagogy through attendance at seminars, workshops, and classes for self-improvement and professional enhancement.

  • Collaborate with other faculty members with implementation and evaluation of clinical objectives.
  • Direct and indirect supervision of students in diverse clinical settings.
  • Provide clinical experiences for students in accordance with clinical objectives.
  • Evaluation of students in clinical/lab settings.
  • Adhere to university policies and procedures.
  • Maintain clinical expertise in field of study and teaching pedagogy by attending seminars, workshops, and classes for self-improvement and/or professional enhancement.
  • Previous teaching experience preferred; two years of full-time clinical experience in the area/areas of teaching responsibility.
  • Knowledge and skills related to teaching adults, teaching methodology, curriculum development, evaluation, or willingness to plan for acquisition of these skills no later than the first year of teaching.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
  • Current/unencumbered Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Missouri, in good standing.
  • Bachelor's in nursing degree; master's in nursing degree preferred.
  • Have at least two years of academic or clinical nursing practice.
  • A doctorate degree in nursing or related field preferred.
  • Attends nursing pinning and commencement ceremony.
  • Attends and participates in faculty meetings.
