About The Position

The College of Veterinary Medicine, Mississippi State University, invites applications for a Clinical Instructor I in Veterinary Clinical Pathology. The is a professional (non-tenure track) position in the Diagnostic Laboratory Services (DLS) section in the Department of Pathobiology and Population Medicine. The DLS is a part of the AAVLD fully accredited Mississippi Veterinary Research and Diagnostic Laboratory System, which has laboratories at three sites in Mississippi. Major responsibilities include clinical pathology service and teaching in the DVM program. It is expected that this position will allocate approximately 70% time to clinical service activities and 30% time to teaching and teaching associated service. The successful candidate will work directly with faculty, in-house clinicians, and referring veterinarians in the DLS section.

Requirements

  • DVM or equivalent
  • Successful completion of Phase 1 of the ACVP board certification examination
  • Enrollment (or have completed) a clinical pathology residency
  • Demonstrated collegiality and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to attain licensure (faculty or traditional licensure) in Mississippi
