About The Position

The East Carolina University College of Nursing is currently seeking applications for a faculty position with strong expertise in medical-surgical nursing. Faculty responsibilities include planning, teaching, and evaluating primarily face-to-face theory, lab, and clinical courses. This faculty position will be accountable for teaching courses such as advanced medical-surgical nursing, pathophysiology and/or pharmacology for pre-licensure nursing students. The position may also involve the direct supervision of students in clinical and lab settings. Contingent upon the availability of funds.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in nursing from an appropriately accredited institution.
  • A valid non-restricted North Carolina nursing license is required upon employment.
  • Two years of medical-surgical nursing experience is required.

Nice To Haves

  • A terminal degree in Nursing is preferred or a closely related discipline with a graduate degree in nursing.
  • Recent clinical and teaching experience in medical-surgical nursing.
  • Certification as a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) is also preferred.
