About The Position

The Department of Pediatrics at East Carolina University, Brody School of Medicine, has temporary faculty positions for the various sub-specialties of Pediatrics. Sub-specialties of Pediatrics include: Cardiology, Neonatology, Nephrology, Pulmonology, Infectious Disease, General Pediatrics, Endocrinology, Hematology/Oncology, Adolescent, and Critical Care. Faculty positions are available at the titles of Clinical Instructor, Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, Clinical Professor, Teaching Assistant Professor, Teaching Associate Professor, Teaching Professor, Research Assistant Professor, Research Associate Professor, and Research Professor. These part-time, temporary faculty positions may have teaching, clinical, research, and administrative duties. Positions are 12-month, fixed term appointments. Positions are contingent upon the availability of funds. Requirements

  • MD or DO from an appropriately accredited institution, or completed foreign medical education accepted and recognized for ECFMG Certification.
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of North Carolina.
  • Board Certified or eligible for board certification.
  • Research faculty must have a minimum of a master's degree for the pediatric sub-specialty for which they want to be considered.
  • Must have the appropriate respective license to work in North Carolina.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

  • PhD is preferred for Research Faculty.
