About The Position

The CT State Community College is developing a pool of applicants for potential part-time Clinical Instructor-Allied Health Program positions. These positions are on continuous recruitment, and are filled on an as-needed basis, depending on specific department needs. You will only be contacted if there is a current need at the campus you indicated on your application and have met the qualifications/skills and experience that are required for the position. Your applications will stay active for 1 year. This position is not remote.

Requirements

  • Degree requirements required by the professional discipline, certification and/or licensure in the field related to the professional discipline.
  • One (1) or more years of clinical experience in the related field.
  • Experience in Clinical instruction.
  • Experience conducting and overseeing student clinical demonstrations and lab sessions.
  • Proven ability to effectively work with culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and students.
  • Experience with reflective, interactive, culturally responsive pedagogical teaching techniques.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong Information technology literacy skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • Current clinical experience.
  • Clinical teaching experience in an academic setting.

Responsibilities

  • Teach in accordance with approved course description, learning outcomes, and schedule.
  • Clinical practicum administration.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate records for each student.
  • Conduct or oversee clinical competency examinations, monitoring student progress and maintaining comprehensive records on student performance.
  • Confer with and advise students on their clinical performance and progress.
  • Conduct and oversee clinical demonstrations and lab sessions.
  • Maintain the quality of clinical instruction and its conformance to accreditation standards.

Benefits

  • Hourly salary of $105.86.
