About The Position

Imagine Pediatrics is a tech enabled, pediatrician led medical group reimagining care for children with special health care needs. We deliver 24/7 virtual first and in home medical, behavioral, and social care, working alongside families, providers, and health plans to break down barriers to quality care. We do not replace existing care teams; we enhance them, providing an extra layer of support with compassion, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to children with medical complexity. As a Clinical Informaticist at Imagine Pediatrics, you are positioned at the intersection of clinical care and technology. You will play a vital role in the success of our care teams by ensuring that the EHR is a helpful tool and not a hindrance to patient care. Your role is critical for identifying and raising awareness of technical issues in clinical workflows as well as developing and implementing EHR configurations that support the goals of the organization as a whole.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows.
  • Proficiency in using EHR systems (preferably Athenahealth), data analysis tools, and project management software.
  • 3+ years of experience in configuring, supporting, or implementing EHR platforms.
  • Excellent ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including clinicians, technology staff, and leadership.
  • Capability to interpret data, identify patterns, and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Ability to lead initiatives, manage projects, and influence stakeholders to adopt new technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain the configuration of our electronic health records (EHR) and other clinical systems, ensuring they align with clinical needs and best practices.
  • Collaborate with clinicians to assess current workflows and design system functionalities that streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Facilitate the adoption of new EHR functionalities by addressing concerns, providing ongoing support, and managing change within the clinical environment.
  • Stay updated on emerging healthcare technologies and industry standards, applying knowledge to inform system development and improvement.
  • Act as a liaison between clinical staff and tech teams, communicating requirements and ensuring system functionality meets the needs of the care team and the organization as a whole.
  • Drive ongoing improvements in the functionality and performance of EHRs, clinical data systems, and other informatics platforms.
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Clinical teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring clarity, feasibility, and alignment with the project objectives.
