About The Position

The Clinical Informaticist will be responsible for leveraging knowledge of Ambulatory Electronic Health Record (EHR) to optimize current functionality and improve workflows and content within clinical systems that meet the unique challenges of our physician practice community. This will include working with members of teams such as the Ambulatory Clinical Informatics (ACI), Ambulatory Solutions, Implementation, Quality, IT&S, Clinical Intelligence Group (CIG), Education, Health Information Management Teams, etc. The Clinical Informaticist assists to build the ACT roadmap, with a specificity on enhancement, patient safety, and provider satisfaction. Collaborates with internal departments to upgrade and improve clinical quality, efficiency, and safety of care for patients and practices. This position does require 20% travel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Medicine, or equivalent.
• 2 or more years supporting health information systems.
• 2 or more years of healthcare experience.

Nice To Haves

• Clinical Certifications in Registered Nurse (Preferred).
• Informatics Certification (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Apply clinical judgement in the review, analyze, and present clinical data.
• Observe provider and end user feedback to identify training gaps and workflows that may need optimization.
• Provide day-to-day EHR support and implementation support to clinical end users and division support resources.
• Develop and facilitate process documentation for the Ambulatory EHR to standardize workflows.
• Provide clinical resources, coordinate regulatory and technical resources, optimize clinical workflows, resolve issues, assist with development of end user education, and communicate updates to all clinical field personnel.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize the Ambulatory EHR to meet all regulatory compliance requirements.
• Provide hands-on expertise to identify risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate and interact with providers, clinical staff, information technology professionals, senior leadership, and varied subject matter experts on enterprise-level initiatives.
• Work hands-on with cross-functional teams to validate and perform gap analysis between new functionality and business needs.
• Coordinates with other clinical teams to establish and support processes necessary to ensure data integrity within and across multiple EHRs and other clinical information systems or applications.
• Thinks and acts independently, starts new assignments and opportunities without prompting, contributes ideas and projects, and promptly addresses problems.
• Works with minimal supervision to lead various projects (both large and small scale) in defining, documenting, piloting, and deployment of EHR solutions.
• Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency.
• Clinical investigation within Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI) and EHRs to promote patient safety.
