About The Position

Position Summary: White Rock Medical Center is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Informaticist to support our growing portfolio of digital health initiatives. This role is ideal for an early-career professional with a passion for healthcare technology and a desire to grow into a leadership role. Reporting to the Director of Technology Strategy and Implementation, this role will be instrumental in managing and executing high-impact technology projects that enhance patient care, streamline operations, and ensure regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is a self-sufficient worker with a solid background in healthcare IT, vendor management, coordinating project timelines, and supporting the implementation of new technologies within a hospital setting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a healthcare or IT project coordination role.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems, HIPAA compliance, and clinical workflows.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Intermediate knowledge and experience in a software development area (e.g. web development, data engineering, cloud administration, etc.)
  • Experience with data extraction tools, SQL, or reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • PMP, CPHIMS, or similar certification

Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Take an active role in the planning, execution, and delivery of technology initiatives including EMR enhancements, HIPAA-compliant infrastructure setup, ancillary department technology integration (e.g. LIS), and other digital health solutions.
  • Vendor Management: Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with technology vendors, ensuring alignment with hospital goals, compliance standards, and budget constraints.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to gather requirements, manage expectations, and ensure successful implementation and adoption of new technologies.
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve existing technology workflows and reduce costs through automation, integration, or vendor renegotiation.
  • Compliance & Security: Ensure all technology implementations meet HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Reporting & Communication: Provide regular updates to leadership on project status, risks, and outcomes. Prepare documentation and presentations for executive stakeholders.
  • Change Management: Support training, communication, and change management efforts to ensure smooth transitions during technology rollouts.
