About The Position

AMFM Healthcare is expanding its services in Stillwater, MN, with the launch of two new, state-of-the-art adult residential mental health treatment facilities. As a Clinical Group Facilitator, you will play a vital role in the recovery journey of adults facing complex mental health challenges. This position is ideal for a licensed or associate-level therapist with a strong foundation in group facilitation, evidence-based practices, and experience working with individuals experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms, co-occurring mood disorders, substance use, and/or suicidal ideation.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Current Mental Health Professional (LICSW, LPCC, LMFT, OR LP) or Mental Health Practitioner.
  • Experience: Working with adults diagnosed with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and trauma-related conditions.
  • Hands-on experience facilitating clinical groups for individuals with mental health and addiction issues.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices and group therapy models.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Comfortable working with high-acuity adult clients in a residential setting.
  • Experience in residential treatment settings
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and travel between local sites as needed.
  • Must pass background checks and fingerprinting per state, federal, and program requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Specialized training or certification in trauma-informed care, substance use disorders, or other relevant areas preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate engaging, evidence-based group therapy sessions (e.g., CBT, DBT, psychoeducation, process groups).
  • Create a safe, structured, and therapeutic group environment for adult clients.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support individualized treatment plans.
  • Accurately document group progress and interventions in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
  • Attend clinical meetings and participate in ongoing training and supervision.
  • Help shape a new culture of care at our Stillwater facility — built on compassion, integrity, and teamwork.
