Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a similar discipline from an accredited college or university.
• License as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist by New York State Department of Health.
• Experience in data analytics.
• Good communication and computer skills.

• 6 months experience in a Flow Cytometry Clinical Laboratory.
• Knowledgeable in quality control processes and laboratory automation.

Responsibilities

• Assist pathologists in creating draft reports by compiling and analyzing data from flow cytometers.
• Review clinical rationale for flow cytometry orders, including prior pathology specimen reports.
• Select and place appropriate flow cytometry panel orders in Epic Beaker.
• Assess the need for custom antibody combinations and MRD assays for leukemia/lymphoma/myeloma follow-ups.
• Populate the immunophenotyping section of flow cytometry reports in EPIC Beaker according to specimen type.
• Open and analyze raw fcs files exported to the path flow server using flow cytometry analysis software.
• Determine abnormal findings from fcs files and select appropriate templates for reporting.
• Report cell subset percentages and enumeration as required by case templates.
• Support the pathologist team with report drafting and editing as needed.
• Perform visual analysis of instrument scatter plots and histograms.
