About The Position

Clinical Facilitators - Anesthesia Assists in the development and assessment of clinical education component of the curriculum Responsible for the administrative, academic, service, and scholarship responsibilities consistent with the mission and philosophy of the academic program Monitors and refines the clinical education component of the curriculum. Facilitates quality learning experiences for students during clinical education. Coordination and implementation of the clinical education component of the curriculum including site placements, site visits, and evaluation Selects clinical learning environments that demonstrate characteristics of an ethical and professional facility that incorporates the program's core values. Serves as a liaison between the students and clinical facility. Responsible for facilitating students' clinical education Provides and performs an adequate orientation to the operating rooms and equipment to all students. Provides guidance and support as required to problem solve and discuss students concerns. Meets with students prior to clinical affiliations to disseminate information on clinical policies and procedures, clinical site information, clinical education philosophy and objectives. Prepares student clinical assignment schedules. Places students in surgical areas appropriate to their needs on a daily basis as well as holiday, on-call and weekend shifts. Assesses students' performance during clinical education Responsible for ensuring clinical education program compliance Complies with site requirements Completes student clinical summative rotation evaluation form at the completion of each student's rotation (See Keiser University Student Handbook) Assures daily student evaluations are being performed by all preceptors (using the Medatrax system).
