About The Position

Position Objective: Supports the safe and timely transfer of patients within the hospital while providing compassionate, professional customer service. Provides efficient, responsive service to support and optimize throughput efforts across the organization. Transports patients in accordance with established safety policies and in collaboration with care team members. Assists with transfer of patients when necessary. Supports patient throughput through timely response to assignments and appropriate cancellation of requests. Ensures performance meets established expectations regarding productivity. Communicates effectively with care team members regarding arrival/departure of patients, necessary contact precautions, and transport of medications and/or medical equipment. Assists colleagues within department or other units, when necessary, to safely transport patients and/or equipment. Collaborates with department colleagues to prioritize transport requests during high volumes times. Engages in departmental process improvement initiatives and demonstrates competency in regards to safe use of equipment, electronic assignment system, and necessary computer functions for administrative duties. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification through the American Heart Association
