About The Position

The Clinical Equipment Technician performs maintenance, service and repairs at a specific Sanford Health location on equipment that is used by, purchased by, or rented to patients. Sanford Clinical Equipment Technicians Maintain, service, and repair patient medical equipment. This individual will work on both mechanical and electrical based equipment. Completes routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment following manufacturer requirements and company policy. Ensure proper care of spares, tools, and test equipment, and ensure calibration. Responsible for documenting all repair actions and submitting reports/summaries on computer systems. Clinical Equipment Technician should be trustworthy, safety-minded individuals andable to complete tasks assigned without close supervision. Individuals should have a comfortable and working knowledge of traditional hand tools as well as electronic tools that may be used for both repairing mechanical and electronic equipment related to service repair and maintenance. Possesses a working knowledge of computers and vendor software with a willingness to learn. Knowledgeable in supplies, equipment, and warehouse terminology preferred. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must have the ability to work on mechanical and electrical equipment; experience with medical equipment preferred. Experience in proper use of tools and diagnostic equipment on the job training will be provided.
  • Valid driver's license required.
