About The Position

Basic Purpose of the Job Assesses, designs, presents and/or coordinates educational programs, in-service and orientation for clinical personnel.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Nursing.
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible nursing experience.
  • Practical Nurse license from the Territory of Guam required.
  • Technology Skills: Microsoft Office to include Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word
  • Electronical Health Records (EHR) – Allscripts preferred
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Knowledge of communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written and oral.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
  • Skills: Talking to others to convey information effectively.
  • Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
  • Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
  • Abilities: Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
  • Ability to speak clearly so others can understand you.
  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible nursing experience preferred.
  • Two (2) years of experience in providing clinical education and training preferred.
  • Registered Nurse license from the Territory of Guam preferred.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects preferred.
  • Electronical Health Records (EHR) – Allscripts preferred
