About The Position

Clinical Educator. is a change agent working in collaboration with the health care leadership team to provide a multi-disciplinary approach in promoting ongoing professional development of clinical staff. Position requires knowledge in performance improvement and clinical outcomes using evidence-based practice and research. Also serves as a leader/consultant/mentor in curriculum development and utilizes various educational delivery methods to advance the practice of clinical disciplines to achieve quality, cost-effective support for patient/family outcomes within the organization and across populations.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Registered Nursing licensed in the State of Nebraska or eligible compact state - required
  • Current Basic Life Support certification required or within first 3 months of hire
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification or within first 3 months of hire
  • Pediatric Life Support certification or within first 3 months of hire
  • In-depth knowledge of clinic, surgical services, medical-surgical, and emergency department environments required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Up to date knowledge of evidence-based practices and technologies
  • Understanding of patient safety principles
  • Effectively evaluating performance and providing constructive feedback
  • Must be able to pass background check.
  • We also conduct pre-employment physical and drug testing.
  • Any job offer will be contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical with a drug screen, background check and obtaining active licensures per job requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters preferred.
  • 5+ years of nursing experience preferred
  • Learning Management System experience preferred
  • Simulation education experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate education programs on new and evolving procedures, equipment, and/or technology to enhance outcomes.
  • Participates and mentor's others in the development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental and organizational goals to include research and the quality improvement process to improve patient outcomes.
  • Supports quality improvement standards; regulatory standards; patient safety standards; error prevention tools, methodologies, technologies, and resources.
  • Designs, coordinates, facilitates, onboarding and orientation programs for licensed and unlicensed team members.
  • Design, develop, implement, and evaluate processes to ensure team members meet established competency requirements.
  • Demonstrate leadership by communicating effectively at all levels, participating in committees as needed and maintaining effective ongoing working relationships to promote a positive work environment.
  • Maintain compliance with private, state, and federal regulations, including but not limited to OSHA and The Joint Commission.
  • Enhances professional growth by staying updated on industry trends, standards, advancements, regulations, policies, corporate initiatives, and current technologies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
