About The Position

The clinical nurse educator is responsible for maintaining expertise in various clinical practice settings and is able to function autonomously and in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members. Promotes evidenced-based practice and quality care by participating in performance improvement activities, development of nursing staff and clinical practice. Serves as a resource and role model and exemplifies the mission, vision and values of Rush Copley and in accordance with policies and procedures. Responsible for planning and implementing staff orientation, in-service education and staff development for the department.

Requirements

  • Must be licensed and currently registered to practice as a RN in the State of IL.
  • Education: Graduate degree required (MSN).
  • Certifications: American Heart Association CPR required. National certification required within 2 years of hire.
  • Experience: Must have at least 2 years of RN experience and 2-3 years of perioperative experience.
