The Medical Group provides a wide range of offerings, including primary care, specialty care, behavioral and mental health, and urgent care, both digitally as well as at physical locations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. The group also offers outpatient surgery and endoscopy, imaging, cardiac testing, and infusion. We share the commitment to delivering a coordinated and comprehensive experience across all locations, ensuring the appropriate level of care is available to every patient across our care delivery sites. We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Clinical Educator to join our Mass General Brigham Medical Group team. This role is primarily onsite, with the majority of time spent rounding across primary care and specialty practices during standard practice hours, providing hands-on education, training, and real-time clinical support. The Clinical Educator is a key member of the Mass General Brigham Medical Group Education and Training Team, supporting the MetroWest Region and approximately 30 ambulatory practices. In this role, you will provide education and training support to clinical staff members, including but not limited to nurses, medical assistants, orthopedic technicians, athletic trainers, and phlebotomists. You will also collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of 15 educators and partner with operations and ancillary departments to standardize training, implement best practices, and deliver equitable support across all Medical Group regions. This highly visible and autonomous role positions you as a trusted resource within the practices, rounding with both new and experienced staff, observing workflows, and developing targeted education based on real-time needs. Job Summary Summary Responsible for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs for clinical support staff within the ambulatory facilities. This role aims to enhance clinical skills, promote best practices, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing required
  • Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - Required
  • Clinical nursing experience 3-5 years required

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree Nursing preferred
  • Health training or educator experience 2-3 years preferred
  • Epic Experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop educational programs and curricula tailored to the needs of clinical support staff, covering clinical procedures, patient care protocols, technological advancements, and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct educational sessions, workshops, and in-service training to enhance clinical staff knowledge, skills, and competencies, utilizing various teaching methodologies and resources.
  • Facilitate orientation programs for new clinical hires, supporting their introduction to ambulatory policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  • Organize and promote continuing education opportunities for clinical staff, encouraging ongoing professional development, and facilitating access to relevant training resources.
  • Evaluate and assess the clinical skills and competencies of clinical staff, providing constructive feedback and collaborating with management on individual development plans where needed.
  • Ensure clinical staff compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices through education, training, and audits.
  • Work collaboratively with leadership, department heads, and other healthcare professionals to align educational initiatives with organizational goals and quality improvement efforts.
  • Maintain accurate records of educational programs, attendance, evaluations, and staff competencies, providing reports as required by regulatory bodies and ambulatory administration.
