Requirements
- Associates Of Science Nursing and One year’s nursing experience, upon hire
- Registered Nurse: TX, upon hire
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days
Responsibilities
- Provides assessment, teaching and follow-up instruction to a specific patient population
- Provides guidance to management, staff and physicians
- Identifies needs, plans and Implements educational programs within specialty area for staff, patients, and/or community.
- Actively Participates in Nursing and Patient Education Department activities
- Serves in a consultative role to staff, management and health professionals in the hospital and community with focus on quality and cost containment
- Disseminates and conducts nursing research
- Serves as leader in the development and attainment of organizational goals
- Demonstrates professional practice by serving as a liaison among the program staff, advisory committee and facility administration
