About The Position

The Clinical Educator plays a critical role in developing and implementing standardized orientation curriculum and ongoing educational offerings to drive operational efficiencies, maintain up to date clinical standards, meet regulatory requirements such as NCQA, and various clinical operational support to business needs. This team member will be integral in all aspects of clinical education including analysis, planning, design, development, implementation, and evaluation to ensure operational success, clinical processes and operations.

Requirements

  • Team members who possess enthusiasm, a strong work ethic and integrity. Someone who can successfully collaborate and perform within a matrixed environment.
  • Active Licensed Registered Nurse with a Bachelors Degree or a Masters of Nursing Degree
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in educating health care clinicians (RNs, RDs, Pharmacists, SW, and Physicians).
  • Exceptional facilitation skills.
  • Experience in training both licensed and non-licensed staff.
  • Experience in EMRs, Adobe, Microsoft Office, Power Point, and Excel. Bonus is experience in using 360 Articulate Storyline or Iorad tools.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral; ability to actively listen, ask open-ended questions, clarify, confirm, and understand perspectives across a range of different organizations and personalities.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, adapt to change, work well under pressure in an entrepreneurial environment, and manage a project from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a clinical education subject matter expert (SME) understanding the scope, complexity, processes, services, and vision of the Population Health Care Management programs.
  • Promote and drive comprehensive clinical excellence and clinician acumen.
  • Collaborate with leadership to actively identify, participate in and drive operational strategies
  • Lead, implement and manage educational and quality initiatives to deliver desired outcomes.
  • Collaborate and solution with cross functional SMEs and teams to optimize care programs and delivery; develop preceptorship and mentorship programs to extend and support new hire education; develop and support existing clinical workflows to ensure evidence-based clinical programs.
  • Leverage and apply adult learning principles to design and deliver clinical education programs and resources.
  • For example, documentation guidelines and materials, educational scenarios and activities to develop and strengthen clinical skills regarding motivational interviewing, self-management support, shared decision making, etc.
  • Develop and deliver clinician and management education materials (such as process guides, scenarios, participant guides, skills practices, knowledge checks, resources, etc) to supplement learning activities and clinician resources.
  • Regularly evaluate and update curriculum to maintain industry standards and best practices; Ensure identification and utilization of educational strategies and approaches in delivery methods, tools, materials, and mediums to align with adult learning principles and virtual training trends with the goal of increasing participant engagement.
